Here is her bio:

Anne-Marie Wachsmuth

I was born in Ottawa, Ontario and raised by believing French-Canadian parents and 8 older siblings. It was a happy day for me when my younger sister was born and I could finally join the childrearing forces of the Gauthier family!  Although my parents were very busy with the family business and raising 10 children, they made spiritual matters a priority. Under their influence, I became a believer at age eight, right about the time when I began attending a Christian school where I had to learn English. With two languages under my belt and feeling a certain ease with learning languages, I decided in my early teens to make Spanish my third one and began attending a language school in the heart of Ottawa. It wasn’t until college, however, that I put my Spanish to good use when I went on a short mission trip to Nicaragua. It was also in college, at Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C , that I met my future husband Andrew, who also had an interest in using the Spanish that he knew in a mission-type situation. To make this long story short, he and I eventually got engaged in Honduras where he was serving as a missionary apprentice and we both went back again two years later as husband and wife to teach in a bilingual school for a year. Upon our return to the States, we settled in the Tigard/Beaverton area to be near Andrew’s family and have been living here ever since.  We have also been blessed with the task of raising our two wonderful children, Isaiah (8) and Brielle (6), and have enjoyed every bit of it. As Cor Deo’s Spanish teacher next year, I look forward to instilling a passion for missions and for learning other languages.   Thanks for the opportunity you have given me!
