Community Service

Cor Deo Christian Academy aims to foster in its students a concern and willingness to help those in need both at school and within the community. Galatians 6:10 encourages, “Therefore, as we have opportunity let us do good to all.

When students are not working math problems or writing essays, our students might be found sharing smiles with senior citizens at area nursing homes or collecting food for a partner ministry in the inner city.

Perhaps our most visible service project is our longstanding partnership with Samaritan’s Purse to provide gift-filled shoeboxes to needy children for Christmas. Students in grades junior kindergarten through twelve participate in this annual project, filling hundreds of boxes with toys, candy, school and hygiene supplies and other items.

Individual classrooms in elementary school complete community service projects throughout the year, as do most of our secondary clubs.

Cor Deo faculty and staff especially appreciate the time and energy donated by parents to help students grow in their service to others.
