Cor Deo encourages active participation in each students academic education and fosters a classroom environment that demands their interaction, resulting in higher critical thinking skills. We seek to provide instruction through a multi-representational approach to each course, with concepts, results and problems being expressed graphically, numerically, analytically and verbally.

The focus of each course is not the memorization of techniques or problem types, but the emphasis of broad concepts, unifying themes and widely applicable methods of problem-solving. While manipulation and computation competence are important outcomes for our students, they are not the core of our courses. The concept approach allows students to more fully investigate and connect mathematical ideas as he or she encounters progressively complicated topics in the curriculum of successive courses.
